Twelfth Sunday In Ordinary Time June 21, 2009
First Reading: Job 38:1, 8-11 Job, in his suffering, questioned the power of God. The Lord proclaims his power and indicates that even the sea is subject to his will.
Second Reading: II Corinthians 5:14-17 Christ died for all so us that we may have live for him. Anyone who believes in Christ enters into new and eternal life.
Gospel: Mark 4:35-40 During a bad storm, Jesus ordered the wind and sea to be still, and his disciples were quite amazed at his power. Jesus reminds them to trust and have faith, even in times of danger. __________________________________________
PRAY FOR PEACE
Prayer for Generosity Dear Lord, teach me to be generous; Teach me to serve you as you deserve; To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labor, and not to ask for any reward - except that of knowing that I am doing your holy will. AMEN.

THANK YOU FATHER Each day of the year priests across our nation "father" their congregation, living in their every act of the embodiment of our blessed Heavenly Father. This Father's Day let us include these most precious fathers in our celebrations. Take time to say thank you to your Parish Priest, local Missionary or Bishop. Perhaps there is some small act of kindness you can do to show your appreciation for your Pastor's love and devotion throughout the year. However we express it, let's remember to pause and say Thank You Father, for caring for each of your spiritual children as well. Happy Father's Day
In your charity of your prayers please remember all parishioners who are sick in mind, body and spirit, especially Eugene Demuth, Joyce Smith, Thomas Maxwell, Gus Lovell, Pauline Raven, Leon Martin, Alma Lehman, Elena Martin, Henry Martin, Helen Scurlock, and Sarah Willis. |
