Twenty- Second Sunday
In Ordinary Time
August 29, 2010

Gospel: Luke 14:1-7-14
Jesus went to share a meal with one of the leading Pharisees when he noticed the other guests competing for places of honor at the table. He then added, “He who humbles himself will be exalted.”

PRAY FOR PEACE
Prayer for Generosity
Dear Lord, teach me to be generous;
Teach me to serve you as you deserve;
To give and not to count the cost;
To fight and not to heed the wounds;
To toil and not to seek for rest;
To labor, and not to ask for any reward –
except that of knowing that I am doing your holy will.
AMEN.
